Even though I’m not entirely uninitiated into the Marvel universe, I feel like I needed to know more back story in order to care about why it’s important that these guys have come together and why Black Panther bowed out. Also, I don’t remember every permutation of the Avengers, new, old, young, or otherwise, but this group’s average age has to be around 45. Is that a first? This story is interesting enough that I wouldn’t be opposed to reading the next issue, but not enough that I’m going to do much in the way to make that happen.
