why are they together?! I want to watch this!!!
Good Will Hunting. This is one of my favorite films. I’m sure this is my favorite role of both Robin Williams and Matt Damon. For me, Robin is so much more palatable in drama. Many of their scenes together are still some of the most gripping and uncomfortable moments on film for me. Working so hard to build up that protective wall and building it to such a point that you almost forget that it’s there. Then, to have this complete stranger not only remind you that it’s there, but to also go as far as a swinging a sledgehammer at the tiny fissures you didn’t even know were present. So good. If you willingly give your heart to this film upfront, it might hurt less when it rips it out.
The Affleck brothers play along side Robin and Matt, as well as Minnie Driver—a great actress, with an equally great/soothing singing voice (I have her first two albums). I liked her in The Governess and Circle of Friends and she voice Lady Eboshi in Princess Mononoke.
