It started with “Boy Loses Girl”. I stopped when, in an attempt to help Nick (the boy) figure out a good 5th anniversary gift for his wife, Margo (the boy’s twin sister) told Nick to go home, fuck Amy’s (the girl) brains out and then slap her with his dick and then say “there’s some wood for you, bitch.” Wood being the material representing the 5th matrimonial anniversary. They both laughed.
Having already stumbled over a few other less than savory lines and moments barely an hour into the 18-hour read, I realized it would never be for me.
