It’s my long-held belief that once a property is licensed for release in another medium or for the purpose of retelling, it can become whatever the producers want it to become. That said, sometimes I wish people wouldn’t be so free with their adaptations.

I have no faith in this US version of Hana Yori Dango. I have the feeling that it’s going to be far removed from the story I know and love, but we’ll see. I’m going to watch at least 2 eps and hope to be proved wrong.
