The return of print titles! And Human-Android relations worm their way in.
Finally we get to see how Kirishima handles an unwanted suitor as well as Hiyori’s feelings about the possible addition of a new mother. Lots of jealousy coming from Yokozawa and a bit from Kirishima, too. I realized two things with this volume. First, and I don’t know how I missed it, but they have […]
Hello, Kisa! Nothing about this volume in particular, but Takano is probably my favorite of her characters. He has her typical overbearing seme quality, but in a completely different way than most of her other seme. He and Kirishima Zen (Yokozawa Takafumi no Baai) are cut from the same cloth, although their personalities are like night […]
The art changed. Not weird–her art is already somewhat weird–just different. Though I guess I noticed the change in TWGFL-TCoRO, but it’s kind of jarring here, from one volume to the next. Yokozawa’s got a suitor. Unwelcomed, of course, and he’s thrown in complete disarray. Unfortunately he doesn’t handle this one with the same…finesse…as it were. […]
Overdrive wins again!
V03 – Kirishima’s teasing persists and Yokozawa still gets riled up, but not as much. Yokozawa has made some strides, of course, not without struggle. He uses “we” a lot more when thinking about Kirishima family matters. Kirishima has peeled back a few of his own layers and that’s helped Yokozawa settle his thoughts about […]
V01 – So, Yokozawa gets firmly rejected by Takano in Nakamura Shungiku’s The World’s Greatest First Love – The Case of Ritsu Onodera and goes off to drown his sorrows. He’s spotted by Kirishima, a rather impressive sort, and wakes up the next day with no recollection of the previous night’s events and no clothes on. […]
I have faith in SuBLime, but I feel like I have to say this: I really hope I can collect the whole series. I can’t say that I’ve ever gotten over Blu ceasing operations and leaving me hanging on a few series, namely, Voice or Noise and Junjou Romantica. It still stings when a series […]
Congrats and thanx to SuBLime for doing away with their generic cover typography and back cover blandness! It makes all the difference. Though I think this is better, it gives of a hint of Manga Reborn. Just a teeny tiny hint. For comparison, the original cover can be seen here.
I put off reading this for a long time because I’m just not into robot love unless it’s coming from Yul Brenner or The Flaming Lips. Technically, they–the Hybrids–aren’t robots, but in this case, it’s all the same to me. But I was really in the mood for Nakamura’s brand of sadness and regret, and […]
