In short, I liked it. It’s not a DRM-free title, so if I decide to continue, which is very likely, I’ll have to wait for the collected first print volume. Yeah, there’s also the fact that the first new inhuman to appear is named Dante and you’ll never guess what his power is. If you didn’t […]

This was good. I enjoyed the story, the concepts creatively put forth, and the art. I particularly liked the landscape layout; it lent itself to the journey the story takes you on. As for the story, it’s about a kid, Matthew, whose brother, Alex, went missing. While he’s try to cope with it and carry […]
Even though I’m not entirely uninitiated into the Marvel universe, I feel like I needed to know more back story in order to care about why it’s important that these guys have come together and why Black Panther bowed out. Also, I don’t remember every permutation of the Avengers, new, old, young, or otherwise, but […]
An interesting twist on time travel and of all places to end up, amongst the Aztecs is not one I’d readily guess, but it’s interesting so far. However, I can’t see where it’s going. Not a DRM-free title, but the limited series is collected in a hardback edition. I put it on the list.
The Truman Show meets The Twilight Zone? We’ll see. Or maybe not. It’s not DRM-free and though it’s interesting, this issue doesn’t make me feel like I’ll be bothered if I never finish it. Volume one is available in print, but is it worth the space?
Deep sea mysteries with links to the past. It’s interesting. I like the art for the most part, but the shading on the faces is distracting. It’s not DRM-free, so I’ll have to think about whether I like it enough to let it take up physical shelf space.
I’ve always liked fairytales; I was never quite gaga over them, but I’ve generally welcomed all the varieties and retellings in whichever format they came in. However, not since The Princess Bride have I been so taken by one. Princeless, as the Book One subtitle suggests, is about a princess who saves herself. And there’s […]
Another story about kids performing amazing feats and saving the world or something like that. Or not. Even though I try to steer clear of these types of stories, I just can’t seem to. Fortunately, the ones I keep getting sucked into are pretty good or interesting, at least–The Woods included. A high school, along […]
As far as DC Comics goes, since way back, I’ve only ever been interested in Batman. I’ve seen at least one of the Christopher Reeve Superman films, but, beyond that, the rest of the universe just never caught on for me. Even still, I have a healthy curiosity for universes, so occasionally I’ll read a […]
I haven’t read the full intro yet, but I just had to say that this cover just made me cringe. In New York City, you don’t earn respect staying at home, you earn it out on the streets. I read that before my eyes traveled down to the focal point. With a title like that and after […]
