Caught My Eye: Ichikawa, Masao, and More

Masao Sangatsu: Yoru ga Akete mo

She favors a very particular kind of intimacy for her covers.

Ichikawa Kei: Sore o Koigokoro to Yobu no Nara

The angry faces. I can’t really explain, but they are the best part of the already cool cover. I guess because it’s both of them rather than one (usually the uke) who seems to be annoyed or inconvenienced.

Komatsu: Sorekara, Kimi o Kangaeru

I love the look of the water. In some areas it looks so real and in others it’s merely a suggestion.

Fumino Yuki: I Hidamari ga Kikoeru

It’s pretty and green. The title reminds me a bit of musical notation; I wonder if that was intentional.

Hamada Kamome: Ohayou to Oyasumi to Sono Ato ni V01

I thought I posted the cover of volume 1 already, but it seems that’s not the case. So, now you get all three. I liked the cover of v01 because of the colors and what the composition suggested about their relationship. Then, when I saw the other two recently, I was even more into it because you get the same feeling from all of them and together they give me such hope for a happy story with the possibility of a little bit of heartbreak. Just a little. Also, I like the overlay for the title and author; it’s very tidy. I’ve seen it on a few covers recently.
