I picked up my books from the post office today.
Kojima Lalako // Ninth Life Love – The Seven Things I’m Sorry For was great, especially for so few pages, but I wasn’t really wowed by the other things I read by her. They weren’t awful, but they didn’t leave an impression. We’ll see how this compares.
Okuyama Puku // Caramel – I loved The Rule of Standing on Tiptoe; it was so much fun to read. I laughed practically the whole way through. Warning! Whispers of Love was good, I think. I know I wasn’t disappointed, but I don’t remember liking it as much as I did The Rule. Everything I’ve read by Okuyama has been all warm and fuzzy; Caramel has a PA label on it, so I’m really interested in seeing how she manages sexy. Is it going to be something like sexy puppy love?
Takaku Shoko // I’ve Seen It All V01-V02 – I don’t like the positioning of I’ve Seen it All’s English title; it looks messy. But I loved the original oneshot, so I’m looking forward to this.
Shimizu Yuki // ZE V05 – Finally got another Ze v05 to replace the one that was stolen by someone who I hope is forever suffering from itchy rashes and burning sensations in places they can’t reach.
Miyazawa Yura // Honey Smile – This was a “why not?” selection, so I don’t have any particular expectations.
Looking at these pics, I’m reminded about how I prefer June’s spine-adjacent banner over the old footer; that pink strip really annoyed me. However, the change in book dimensions that came along with the restyled banner rubbed me the wrong way as well. I don’t mind the not-so-new-anymore size, but some of the series that were still in progress ended up with mismatched books. There’s very little I despise more than an inconsistent collection.
